The Quality Control Technician will perform testing and inspection of the company's products using validated software. Completes laboratory preventative maintenance activities, as required.
Acquires and applies job skills, company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Assignments are routine to semi-routine in nature. Works under supervision and receives detailed instructions on work assignments.

Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process finished formulations and/or customer returned finished product according to standard operating procedures.
Calibrates and maintains lab equipment as required. Participates in the preparation of investigations, summaries and reports. Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities. Revises and updates standard operating procedures as needed. May perform special projects on analytical and instrument problem solving or on process improvements.

Learning and developing professional expertise. Applies company policy and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on projects of limited to moderate scope. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices. Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Interacts with peers and stakeholders as required to complete tasks. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

The opportunity:

  • Performs analyses of in-process materials to determine conformance to accepted specification
  • Performs Test stand Preventative Maintenance procedures for the purpose of ensuring proper test stand operations
  • Performs Stability and Pilot Testing (with direction from senior technicians) as needed
  • Compiles data for documentation of test procedures that may include biochemical and chemical assays, stability program testing and formulation studies.
  • Participates in the preparation of investigations, summaries and reports. May develop testing methods. Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities. Revises and updates standard operating procedures as needed.

Who you are?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel).
  • Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific field
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including basic understanding of Microsoft Office software, SAP, Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)
  • 1+ year experience working in laboratory environment
  • 1+ year technical or scientific experience
  • 1+ year experience working in a regulatory environment
  • 1+ year experience with process improvement

Pay transparency

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is 40,900.00 - 75,900.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
