While reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Coordinator is committed to working safely and promoting a safe work environment. Responsible for managing work schedules for preventive maintenance, purchase of maintenance parts, scheduled work with service contractors, assist with electronic drawings and to work towards successful completion of plant projects within time and budget constraints. Assist with the design and implementation of all phases relative to equipment modification. The Maintenance Coordinator will also be a resource for equipment troubleshooting, production and quality initiatives, and employee training. What you'll be doing:
- Support plant safety initiatives including risk reduction / mitigation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects
- Be able to identify non-routine tasks and follow the proper procedures to conduct that task
- Attend and lead the Maintenance Team meetings and shift change meetings
- Provides a key role in communicating with contractors, service providers, and vendors to obtain quotes and plan expenditures to meet our needs and stay within budgeted allocations
- Authorizes and issues purchase orders for all repair and maintenance items in inventory and as needed for work orders and plant projects.
- Maintain, review, and manage the parts inventory storage room.
- Performs and submits monthly Visa/Coupa reconciliations on all purchases
- Assures that projects, fabrication of parts or services provided by contractors are carried out in accordance with expectations and satisfactory to plant management prior to payment
- Locates/provides drawings for fabrication of parts, tooling, or equipment utilizing Agile
- Meets with Plant Engineer as well as other key personnel to review status of ongoing projects as needed
- Continuous involvement in divisional maintenance initiatives.
- Utilizes maintenance personnel and other resources for completion of projects, fabrication, and other job assignments, in partnership with the Maintenance Engineering Tech and Plant Engineer.
- Continually evaluates plant and department costs related to tooling, repair parts, equipment, etc. to reduce costs while improving efficiencies
- Assists with support for the facility IT networking system. Provides resources to accomplish company upgrades and changes as needed.
- Assist with facility PC requirements and troubleshooting needs
- Monitors and tracks all work orders through the company's designated computerized maintenance management system. (CMMS)
- Monitor the IMRT Key Performance Indicators and utilize this report for department improvements
- Self-Motivated to complete tasks in a timely manner while being prepared for the unexpected work details.
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have an associate's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or 5 years of related work experience
- Minimum three (3) years multi-craft skills (mechanical/machinist/tooling/electrical/pneumatics/hydraulics)
- High level of knowledge related to methods, techniques, and machining used in electrical, mechanical, or machinist crafts
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to provide technical and fabrication drawings using technical drawing skills and/or computer assisted drawing software
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Capacity to enhance and maintain cooperative working relationships between Maintenance Team members, production employees, plant management, and SMP Engineering
