Structural Fitter

Pay: $20/hr

Shift: 2nd shift, 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM

As a Structural Fitter, you'll play a key role in assembling structural frameworks using advanced welding techniques and high-quality materials such as angle iron, I-beams, and steel plates, following precise blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Fit structural frameworks according to layouts, drawings, or work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints to identify material sizes and measurements.
• Position, align, and secure parts before assembly.
• Cut, bevel, and contour metal plates with precision.
• Use tools such as calipers to measure and ensure accuracy.
• Perform tacking, burning, and welding operations.
• Safely operate overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of structural fitting experience.
• Strong ability to work independently with advanced fitting skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a shop environment, exposed to welding fumes, noise, and debris.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
