Reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Technology Partnerships, the Director of Outreach and Incubator Activities plays a key role in developing strategies for the Office of Technology Partnerships in their pursuit of industry alliances. The incumbent applies advanced knowledge and concepts in the areas of technology commercialization, the cultivation and solicitation of major corporate partnerships, and other high level projects related to entrepreneurial and innovation programs and regional economic development. The Director supervises the activities of two incubators, including a wet-lab incubator available to external companies for a fee. The Director also plays a critical role in the broader fundraising efforts focused on cultivating support and partnerships for entrepreneurship and innovation programming. The Director supervises the outreach and external communication activities of Technology Partnerships, ensuring that there is adequate logistical support for conferences, events, and other outreach related engagements. In addition, the Director is actively engaged in the development of grant and annual reports, both directly and through oversight of subordinates.
The full salary range for the Director of Outreach and Incubator is $123,000 - $241,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $152,600 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. |
