The Role:

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the VLT Count Room. This includes exercising supervisory control over the Count Room Attendants, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all VLT, table games, mutuel and (sports betting) currency as well as completing all necessary paperwork and documentation as part of the balancing process.

Responsibilities:

• Be able to operate the BPS and Jet scan as needed.
• Have a working knowledge of the MPACT system (downloading wands, clearing wands, machine search, ending the count).
• Count and verify the currency from each vendor after processing it through the BPS1000.
• Count and verify currency from the table games, mutuel and (sports betting) drops
• Order and restock supplies as needed.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and email to the appropriate person or persons.
• Train, counsel and discipline staff.
• Administer the rules and regulations of the Local union contract.
• Evaluate operational procedures, recommend changes and implement approved changes to improve upon the overall efficiency of the VLT Count Room.
• Be knowledgeable about Twin River's features, promotions and special events to respond accurately to guests and inform subordinates.
• Monitor the level of business activity and adjust staffing requirements.
• Perform job functions of subordinates as necessary.
• Maintain clear and open communications upward, downward and laterally.

Qualifications:

Must have excellent math skills as well as an attention to detail. Must be able to operate all money room equipment (jet scan money counter, adding machine, BPS, and MPACT). Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel as well as the capability to respond to and send all pertinent company email. The ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Must be able to handle rolls of coin, handle bundles of paper currency and to push carts of money.

License Requirements:

Must be able to obtain a license by the State of Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (constantly). Must be able to lift and carry large amounts of coin, currency and tickets (constantly). Count Room. Must be able to bend, reach and lift (constantly). Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain a strict attention to detail (constantly).

Work is done in a secured, brightly lit and monitored money room.
