Insomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm room in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania, by then student, Seth Berkowitz and we have been feeding the insatiable hunger of our fans ever since! Today with more than 320 locations nationwide, Insomnia Cookies is continuing to expand our baking footprint and as a result of positive organic growth, we are actively adding a Regional Director of Operations to our current field leadership team. Based out of our HQ in downtown Philadelphia, this key role will be responsible for the operational success of over 90 of our bakeries throughout the designated region.

Using your past multi-unit operations leadership experience, you will:
    • Provide inspirational direction and guidance to all District Managers, DMITS and Store Operations Managers (GMs) and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient region.
    • Responsible for all budgets along with meeting labor and expense goals in retail, while also ensuring operating income and EBITDA goals are achieved for the entire region.
    • Foster a caring, inclusive, equitable, diverse, and collaborative culture where passionate, curious, creative, caring, and accountable people thrive.
    • Constantly assure that the stores within the region are refreshed by entering and exiting individual stores with a focus on store productivity, brand experience, and customer satisfaction.
    • Analyze daily sales and customer service reports for the region; respond quickly and strategically to any underperforming districts and stores.
    • Partner with the People team to facilitate employee succession planning, amplify retention and hire best-in-class Insomniacs for the region.
    • Partner with Creative and Brand Marketing to ensure in-store assets are created in tandem with product releases and support the overall marketing strategy and execution plan.
    • Build and manage relationships with Product, Marketing, Finance, Technology and Supply Chain business leaders to ensure product and service are meeting/exceeding customer expectations; collaborate and influence relationships across departmental lines and the field to maximize sales.
    • Assist in effectively managing the region's labor in conjunction with Director of Workforce Planning, District Managers, DMIT's and General Managers.

What we seek in our Regional Director of Operations candidate:
    • 8+ years of multi-state, multi-unit restaurant or retail chain management experience as a senior operations leader who can influence people, processes and technology choices in a manner that enriches the company's culture and overall region performance.
    • Extensive retail/food service business acumen (P&L analysis, EBIDTA, COGS, labor forecasting, etc.).
    • In-depth knowledge of NYC & Philadelphia Fair Work Week regulations.
    • Proven experience in strategic retail and/or hospitality organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop and retain great talent.
    • Solid technology proficiency with MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Teams, etc.), HR applicant tracking systems, POS systems, facilities management platforms and inventory tracking tools.
    • Must have the ability to travel throughout the region 50 - 70% of the year.
    • Minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent experience within management is required; Bachelors degree preferred.
