General Summary of Position Professional care provider who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge. In collaboration with the patient and family, provides theory-based professional nursing care and coordinates care delivery with various members of the interdisciplinary team Primary Duties and Responsibilities Standard Job Duty: Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, safety standards, and MedStar SPIRIT Values. Effectively uses pattern recognition, and resolution skills, focusing on the clinical scenario to resolve the apparent concern. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Practices within legal boundaries of the nurse practice act and possesses a theoretical understanding of the universal ethical principles. Minimum Qualifications Education Associate's degree of an accredited School of Nursing; required and Bachelor's degree Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or Experience 1-2 years At least two (2) years recent acute care experience in the relevant patient care area. required Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment, or Multistate Compact state or license eligible. Upon Hire required and certification in Basic Life Support. required and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required. This position has a hiring range of $38 - $63.3
