Job Description As a manufacturing engineer, you will use your education, skills, and experience to support the operations team and the plant as a whole. You will be responsible for utilizing engineering problem solving to fix issues and make improvements to processes and equipment to increase efficiency across the plant. You will identify productivity projects throughout the site to reduce cost and increase throughput. This role allows you autonomy to think outside the box while working towards an end state, rather than following a pre-defined path. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineer Team Lead. You will work onsite from our Ladysmith, WI facility.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for modernization and automation throughout the manufacturing processes
- Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
- Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
- Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
- Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
- This position is responsible for responding to manufacturing problems by investigating and resolving such problems to assure a continuing flow of production
- Complete process ownership for all aspects of assigned manufacturing processes including managing projects proficiently, efficiently, and with full accountability for project results is required
- This position is also responsible for process improvement efforts, including identifying core value-adding processes and maximizing their performance and productivity while integrating and streamlining processes throughout the supply chain and ensuring adoption of best maximum efficiency
- Assisting in the introduction of new products through tooling and production equipment, bill of materials, structuring manufacturing instructions and other documentation may be required
- Develop, standardize, implement, maintain, and govern manufacturing processes across the site
- Assist with the implementation business productivity initiatives in the manufacturing plant
- Provide design input and execution support for the development and deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and information management systems in the plants
- Participate in new product and process design reviews for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuation Engineering projects
- Identify assembly equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements to increase efficiency, productivity, and ergonomics
- Participate in the procurement, installation, and validation activities of new equipment to prevent obsolescence and increase efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with others from within and outside of the Operations group to achieve common objectives
- Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.)as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degreein an engineering field

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 1+ years of related professional experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, or closely related field of study)
- Experience with Project Management, Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA),
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma tools and methodologies
