What Impact You Can Make

The Director of Global Sales Planning is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales planning strategies to drive revenue growth and optimize sales performance. This role collaborates closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to define sales targets, analyze market trends, and ensure alignment with overall company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail, quota and projection planning experience, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic decision-making with executive leadership using data-driven insights.



  • Sales Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement comprehensive sales planning strategies, including quota setting, territory alignment, and forecasting methodologies to support business growth.
  • Target and Goal Alignment: Collaborate with sales leadership to define global sales targets and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Sales Projections Monitoring: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics, identify trends, and monitor progress toward sales goals.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Use predictive skills to analyze historical sales data, pipeline metrics, and unit level forecasts to drive accurate forecasting and provide actionable insights.
  • Process and Systems Optimization: Design and implement scalable sales planning processes and oversee the use of planning systems and sales tools to drive adoption and ensure data accuracy. Experience implementing systems a plus.
  • Pipeline Analysis: Work with sales operations to identify conversion bottlenecks, analyze pipeline performance, and recommend improvements to increase sales productivity.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the sales planning budget, including tools, resources, and team training initiatives.
  • Scenario and Contingency Planning: Conduct "what-if" analyses and develop contingency plans to address changes in market conditions or sales strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage a team of sales planning professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure their success.
  • Training and Enablement: Collaborate with sales enablement teams to identify knowledge gaps and develop training programs to enhance sales team effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Executive Communication: Present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, and marketing teams to ensure sales planning efforts are aligned with overall business strategies.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sales planning, forecasting, and analytics.



What You Bring




  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience (10+ years combined) in sales planning, quota management, territory alignment, forecasting variable compensation plans.
  • At least 3+ years of experience managing teams, ideally in sales operations
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Ability to handle conflict and challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to roll up sleeves and work alongside the team when necessary.
  • Proven experience in creating scalable processes and systems to support business growth
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience supporting a commercial organization
  • PowerBI, Phyton, SQL, Varicent, or other analytical dashboards tools a plus
  • Experience leading an incentive compensation team

  • Salary range of $150,000 - $175,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
