POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Human Resources Shared Services Specialist (Benefits & Leave Administration) based in Indianapolis, IN or remote in the US. The Human Resources Shared Services Specialist (Benefits & Leave Administration) is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of benefits and leave processes, maintaining compliance, optimizing benefit and leave offerings and ensuring employees understand and utilize them effectively.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $60,000 - $70,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Assist in administration of employee benefit and leave programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, STD, LTD, ADA and FMLA
  • Aid in the development and distribution of educational materials to promote understanding and utilization of benefits
  • Support the Benefits Manager in maintaining compliance with federal, state and local laws, such as ADA, ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, SAFE HARBOR and other regulatory requirements
  • Help prepare required documentation and filings, including Form 5500 and other regulatory reports, while keeping accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes
  • Play a key role in preparing and coordinating open enrollment periods, including system updates, communications and scheduling events



WHAT WE REQUIRE



  • 2+ years' experience in leave administration including STD, LTD, FMLA & ADA, administration of employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs
  • Experience in benefits plan management and employee communications
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations impacting employee benefits, including ADA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and others
  • Hands-on experience with benefit and leave management systems or service delivery platforms. Familiarity with system configurations, file connections, and data exchanges between internal systems and third-party vendors (e.g., insurance providers, payroll systems)
  • Ability to present benefit and leave information clearly and effectively in webinars, workshops, and one-on-one meetings



WHAT WE PREFER



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in leave administration, benefits administration, human resources, or a related discipline
  • Experience preparing compliance documentation such as Form 5500, and regulatory filings
  • Experience analyzing benefits data, identifying trends, and providing strategic insights to improve the benefits program
  • Certifications like CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR, or HIPAA certification
