Job Description:

Airbus Commercial is looking for a HR Business Partner I to join our team based in Mobile, Alabama.

The entry level HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. You will also be instrumental in delivering high quality, customer-focused service, supporting all levels of employees by developing, implementing, administering and maintaining HR projects, programs, processes and policies, as well as supporting employee engagement. The HRBP is an ambassador of people management practices and a driver of change who leverages their influence and partnership skills to enhance the company.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

HR Strategy: 55%

  • Ensures high quality and consistent HR services are delivered to employees and management for customer groups. These services include, but are not limited to; Employee Relations, Organization Development and Design, Change Management, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Employee Training & Development, Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition and Retention.

  • Collaborate with recruitment and hiring managers to confirm job requirements, competencies, selection criteria, salary budget, support the search strategy and negotiate offers.

  • With support of the Director of HR Operations, provide management and guidance to leaders and employees in all related HR areas in support of the Airbus Americas business objectives

  • Support implementation of organization development and change management programs

  • Responsible for conducting and documenting Ethics and Compliance complaints while working with Director of HR Operations to validate a solution

  • Support the management of the coordination of performance management, training and development, people review, succession planning and career development

  • Support the exit process of terminating employees

  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors in the administration and implementation of plant and company-wide programs such as Reward and Recognition Programs, annual company-supported charity drives, etc.

  • Work closely with managers and supervisors in documenting and evaluating appropriate action to take relative to employee performance.

  • In conjunction with managers and supervisors identifies and/or responds to pay issues within the group and seeks advice and counsel from recognized internal resources.

Policies & Programs: 25%

  • Maintains policies and programs that support and improve the positive culture and engagement of the workforce. Participates in cross functional and divisional initiatives within the HR community to ensure communications and collaboration on projects, planning and programs.

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • 1+ year of progressive Human Resources experience is preferred.

  • Experience working in a multi-functional international environment would be a plus.

  • SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suites.

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

  • Authorized to Work in the US

Physical Requirements

  • Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

  • Hearing: Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

  • Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

  • Carrying: Rarely able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Lifting: Rarely able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Pushing / Pulling: Rarely able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

  • Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.

  • Squatting / Kneeling: Rarely able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to

  • Appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
