The Senior Program Manager, Community Engagement works independently to develop strategy and oversee the implementation of First Tech's Community Engagement programming through comprehensive grantmaking, partnership development, program management, special campaigns and sponsorships, fundraising events, and community outreach.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:
  • Represent and maintain positive public profile for First Tech's brand in the community, including community events, advisory boards and committees, public speaking, and external partnership meetings
  • Oversee and execute inclusive grantmaking practices including relationship pipeline development, grant and sponsorship agreements, application and RFP process, funding disbursement, and reporting
  • Manage charitable giving budget, resources and reporting to maximize impact while containing costs; overseeing administration of key funding cycles, campaigns, programs and employee matching benefits Internally promote First Tech's Community Engagement program including presenting to business units across the organization, advising teams on community efforts, and liaising with employees to maximize their community benefits
  • Cultivate and lead employees, members, and external organizations in robust multi-sector partnerships to support First Tech's long term goals and Community strategy
  • Create strong relationships with non-profit partners and ensure success of grants through reporting mechanisms, site visits, and evaluations
  • Conduct nonprofit partnership outreach as it relates to annual grant cycles, ensuring mission-alignment to First Tech's funding focus areas
  • Collaborate across First Tech on the strategy and execution of First Tech's signature fundraising event, retaining our position as a leading funder of CU4Kids
  • Optimize and execute on strategic marketing, , chamber and tech association sponsorships, ensuring First Tech remains connected and relevant to the business community while building Community visibility liaise with internal business partners, including Community counterparts, Communications, Marketing, Facilities etc. to ensure alignment and amplification of First Tech's Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, which include corporate philanthropy and sustainability, through storytelling and PR
  • Partner across First Tech to oversee creation of informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share First Tech's Community brand including writing, editing, video production, etc.
  • Oversee program performance leveraging metrics and impact for program evaluation, including financial and giving reports for Board members, Executive team, and employees
  • Elevate and support strategy development and execution for Community Engagement on Sustainability Committee and various internal committees and task forces focused on community engagement programming and sustainability efforts
Essential Skills:
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree in Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, Communications, or Marketing is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' business, public sector or nonprofit experience involving both independent and collaborative management of internal and external partnerships including sponsorships, grants, charitable contributions and community relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with business and community leaders to understand program development and impact, expectations and ROI measurements, and identify and leverage opportunities as they arise
  • Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills with the ability to build trust and foster a collaborative spirit
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, think creatively, brainstorm and leverage opportunities as they arise
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and self-direct multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of corporate social responsibility best practices, with a focus on implementing and driving community-focused culture
  • Knowledge of community needs, and the local and regional philanthropic landscape
  • Ability to leverage key performance metrics and data to provide insights and make strategic business recommendations
  • Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to both peer and executive level audiences
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and grant-making software
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office - Hillsboro, OR 97124
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $90,000 to $110,000 annually based on experience + annual bonus
