Description

MDU Resources is excited to provide on-the-job experiences for students to apply their field of study and identify potential candidates for future opportunities in our company. This internship will provide students in accounting or other related fields the with real world work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing safety as a #1 priority in a day-to-day work routine for self and others.

This position may be eligible for scholarship funding.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with major in accounting, finance or related business field of study.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Bismarck, ND corporate office.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The internship will provide the opportunity to assist in the following areas based on company needs:



  • Treasury and Cash Management functions
  • Financial reporting
  • Regulatory proceedings
  • Internal Control Testing
  • Various accounting, financial planning, and accounting research projects
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned


Hourly Wage: $20.00- $22.00 per hour
