Position Summary The Hornblower Group is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Director to help build our corporate HR function and support the company's next phase of growth and development. If you enjoy a mix of strategic and operational work and thrive in fast-paced, team-based, people-focused culture, this role may be for you! The successful candidate will have a tremendous opportunity to shape and strengthen critical areas across the full HR function. They will report directly to the global CHRO, develop and lead central corporate resources, and partner closely with senior business executives and functional leaders in our Orlando executive center.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Business Partnership



  • Develop and implement people & culture strategies that help achieve company goals.
  • Serve as an employee advocate on HR matters and as a trusted advisor to leadership.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to deliver organizational and workforce goals.
  • Align HR policies with business strategies to drive sustainable growth.



Employee Engagement & Performance Management



  • Be in-touch with corporate employees and enhance engagement through targeted initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment with policies and programs that promote fairness, transparency, inclusivity, recognition from peers and leadership.
  • Develop and oversee performance management programs to drive accountability and growth.
  • Expertly address employee issues following appropriate legal, ethical, and company practices.
  • Use engagement and performance data to continuously refine and annual reset HR strategies.



Workforce Planning & Talent Management



  • Own and drive annual and ongoing workforce planning and budget processes for the function.
  • Oversee company recruitment strategies and teams working to attract and retain top talent.
  • Partner with marketing, communications, and key stakeholders to develop our employer brand.
  • Develop succession planning strategies to strengthen leadership pipelines.
  • Oversee the use of data-driven insights to optimize workforce planning and talent acquisition.



HR Metrics, Reporting, and Financial Management



  • Develop and manage HR dashboards to track key metrics and workforce trends.
  • Oversee annual and ongoing HR budgeting, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Partner with Finance to track and report on HR expenditures and return on investment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws via reporting and record-keeping.



Corporate HR Function Building



  • Partner with the VP of Payroll, Director of Benefits, and other resources to design, recommend, and deploy a corporate approach to Total Rewards.
  • Oversee corporate HR policies, ensuring consistency and alignment across all business units.
  • Drive best in class HR processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the HR function.



Background and experience



  • You hold a university-level degree in human resources, business administration, or any related field.
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant experiences with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • You have a strong foundation of HR skills and expertise and know "what good looks like".
  • You've built and led successful teams and are motivated by helping others grow and develop.
  • You have previously worked in a matrixed environment and are comfortable and confident in your ability to partner, collaborate and influence across functions and business units.
