Description

Our Garden Segment is seeking a Financial Analyst - FP&A in Atlanta, GA. This position's primary focus is financial and analytical support of Garden Segment. The role encompasses supporting the commercial teams' efforts to achieve the Company's overall goal of delivering profitable growth and maximization of working capital. Leadership and collaboration with other members of the Garden Finance and Commercial teams is crucial to achieve the annual objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Garden Commercial Segment in making business decisions through the development of relevant financial modeling and analysis.
  • Manage recurring analysis processes & reporting including monthly operating results reporting, sales/margin reporting, and cost center reviews with functional leads. Continuously seek to improve efficiency and/or simplification of standardized reports & process.
  • Maintain and manage monthly forecast model including updating actuals, submitting forecast and ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Seek to improve model with end goal of ease of maintenance and enhanced visibility.
  • Assist in preparation and submission of the annual Budget including data collection, communication & maintaining adherence to deadlines.
  • Monitor and analyze significant variances for Garden Corporate expenses. Provide relevant commentary for monthly operating review.
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives
  • Foster strong working relationships with peers and management in order to develop efficient and effective cross-functional relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Team player with strong written, interpersonal and communication skills who can work well cross-functionally with people at all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to focus on detail without losing sight of the larger business perspective
  • Strong problem-solving abilities including a commitment to process improvements and ability to think "out of the box"
  • Ability to work independently & deal with ambiguity
  • Flexibility and able to adapt to change
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic travel)
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, with 0-2+ years of experience in similar environment with increased responsibility
  • Relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
  • High level user of Microsoft Excel (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, String Manipulation)
  • Hyperion, Tableau, SAP experience is a plus
  • Manufacturing or Consumer Products experience is a plus
