Your Role

The Associate Director - Data Delivery is a global leadership role in the Data Services organization at Vantive and is accountable for the design, development and delivery of global data products. They will be accountable in collaboration with key business domain and IT stakeholders to shape the data and analytics vision/roadmap and lead the delivery of data products to support the business objectives. They will be experts in Agile delivery methodologies and use this expertise to further Vantive's vision of extending lives and expanding possibilities by improving the delivery process and changing the organization's mindset to embrace change and be adaptable to the changing business needs. To achieve this, they will build and lead the team to create new processes, potential new technologies, tools and capabilities in response to the needs of the core stakeholders to enable their analytics and digital strategy.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, build and lead data product delivery teams of product owners, scrum masters, and development teams in the design and development of domain data products.
  • Develop and deliver a consistent product vision, strategy and roadmap for several products related to Data, Insights, Business Intelligence and Analytics, working on multiple domain areas in a matrix environment
  • Accountable for a global portfolio of data products that includes domain data models, analytic applications & external and internal facing reports and dashboards from concept to delivery.
  • Partner with Business domains and functional units, and other IT Business Application Engineering teams, Enterprise Architecture, and other Program Management team members to develop, test, and deliver high quality data products and features.
  • Coordinate the definition and prioritization of the backlog in collaboration with the Delivery Process lead, and coordinate and oversee sprint planning and execution, ensure process improvements through retrospectives, and track velocity/burndown.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate business goals and end user needs into domain product strategy; communicate direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
  • Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value; continually making recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or relevant subject area
  • 10+ years' experience working with Business users, driving, and defining functional and analytical requirements for end-to-end solutioning as well as driving an implementation team through Agile methods.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a product owner, global delivery lead or team lead capacity.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in Functional management/People leadership. Python Ideally not going to code but understand what it means. Some etl knowledge to understand stage.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in leading digital business product teams
  • Vast knowledge on the data ecosystem, its laws and data anonymization requirements. Understanding of GDPR and other industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
  • Vast experience in software development life cycle, agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Significant experience in leading teams in Data & Analytics programs with experience in native digital technologies (cloud, data, analytics and related platforms) in organizations driving product development. Experience with Data platforms such as AWS S3 and Snowflake is a plus.
  • Experience with Visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, and analysis tools such as Alteryx will be a plus.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000 to $228,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
