As a Human Resources Intern, Here's What You'll Do: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced HR environment and learn about the various functions of HR operations. Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, preparing interview guides and scheduling interviews.
- Support onboarding processes, including preparing new hire documents.
- Help maintain employee records and HR databases to ensure all information is up to date.
- Assist in reviewing and updating current job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational needs.
- Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and training sessions.
- Help with the coordination of wellness programs and employee well-being activities, including researching new wellness opportunities.
- Assist in organizing company events, such as team-building activities, celebrations, and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to HR metrics and performance.
- Help with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Provide general support to the HR team in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional demeanor, enthusiastic attitude with demonstrated customer service focus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
- A team player who is proactive, eager to learn, and ready to contribute.
- Previous internship experience or coursework in HR is preferred but not required.
Compensation
The hourly rate for internship opportunities is: $17.50 to $23.50. The hourly rate depends on factors such as knowledge, skill level, experience, and education level. This role is classified as non-exempt for purposes of all applicable wage and hour laws, which means that the individual hired will receive overtime pay for more than 40 hours worked in a workweek.
