Introduction
MWRD's Internship Program offers paid internship positions. While the main focus is on wastewater management, there are opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of functions in each department. Paid Interns Paid interns are limited to 119 working days per calendar year and receive $18.00 per hour. Required Documents:

Candidates are required to submit the Online Internship Application, cover letter, resume and letter of recommendation through MWRD's Online Employment Center. Minimum Requirements Position Title: Environmental Justice Intern Department: General Administration Location: Main Office Building 100 East Erie Street Chicago, IL. 60611 Description: The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (District) is in search of a current college student seeking an internship opportunity in the General Administration Department's Environmental Justice Section. The Environmental Justice internship will provide an exciting opportunity for students to learn about and assist with activities in various departments, sections, and program areas. Work assignments will expose students to the wide range of activities associated with Environmental Justice principles and practices. All work activities are designed to advance MWRD's Strategic Plan, which focuses on Community Engagement, Collaboration, Innovation, Equity, and Resilience. Work assignments and locations will vary so applicants must have access to reliable transportation. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
