TITLE:Production Planner Clerk A

POSITION OBJECTIVE:The Production Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling work orders to provide the production team with the necessary schedules to print and ship orders on time to our customers. The person in this role will analyze available inventory, plan and schedule daily orders to achieve positive production efficiencies and lead all aspects of Planning and Scheduling, to ensure optimal customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  • Minimum of three years planning and scheduling experience within an MRP environment; Able to use metrics for measuring business performance, demonstrated by insight and evaluation of previous work.
  • Ability to plan inventory releases and production schedules to achieve optimal production efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate's degree in business administration or logistics and supply chain management, preferred.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Packaging/Production-planning supervision, scheduling for packaging/production, preparing packaging/production schedules for manufacturing of products.
  • Making sure each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Planning sequence of assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Determining the status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Preparing packaging/production reports.
  • May also request purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Plans the process for manufacture and packaging.
  • Analyzes and interprets assembly of material, scopes, specifications, etc., to determine the content & plan manageable work elements.
  • Prepares defined work packages, including detailed instructions, drawings, bills of material, references, inspection requirements, etc., to initiate and control packaging/production work.
  • Monitors, analyzes & reports performance to schedule of packaging/production & packaging/production support activities, utilizing information derived from material and production control systems.
  • Ensures all parties are fully cognizant of production status, & that work planning and execution objectives are integrated & communicated.
  • Analyzes requests for maintenance/repair services & determines the validity, content & scope of requested work.
  • An incumbent may also prepare sketches & drawings to clarify instructions, & provide other relevant information, such as applicable codes, regulations, etc.
  • Coordinates & expedites the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of material.
  • Interfaces w/Purchasing, Customer Service, Shipping and Quality Control personnel to coordinate the ship out of products.
  • Schedules, expedites, & coordinates the delivery & movement of critical material, including material transfers & conditional material releases.
  • Coordinates the resolution of discrepancy reports, vendor service requests, etc.
  • Initiates replacement orders for lost damaged or discrepant items.
  • Resolves problems utilizing acquired knowledge & analytical abilities.
  • Other duties as requested, directed or assigned.



MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:



  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
