Description
Echelon Services is currently seeking a full-time Wideband Planner to provide direct support for Wideband SATCOM systems. The candidate will coordinate with SATCOM Command and Control Centers (SC2C), Network Operations Centers (NOC), Space Operations Centers (SOC), SATCOM System Experts (SSE), USSPACECOM, Joint Staff (JS), International Partners (IP), and other organizations as appropriate. The position is based at Fort Wheeler, HI.
- Shall perform operations support for Wideband SATCOM planning and management. This support includes periods during nights, weekends, and Federal Holidays.
- The Wideband Planner shall develop and process Satellite Access Requests/Satellite Access Authorizations (SAR/SAA).
- The Wideband Planner shall operate Wideband SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS) equipment in support of RSSC operations
- The Wideband Planner shall monitor scheduled terminal outages, system upgrades, satellite activations, and anomaly resolution.
- The Wideband Planner shall provide operational management, operational support, quality assurance, trends analysis, and operational analysis activities necessary to provide and restore service to support customers within the mission area.
- The Wideband Planner shall conduct staff assistance and training visits to Combatant Commands, Services, Agencies, and International Partners as directed.
- In support of USSPACECOM, the Wideband Planner shall provide support to identify, isolate, and resolve frequency interference events, theater spectrum management activities, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) events and report activities per operational guidelines.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Four (4) years of Military or Commercial SATCOM experience
- Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility (RSSC-West)
- Active DoD TS or interim TS clearance (RSSC-East)
Preferred Skills:
- Two (2) year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering
- Four (4) years Military SATCOM experience
- Knowledge of Common Network Planning Software (CNPS) in the Planning or Controlling Phase
- Experience in one of the Worldwide RSSC's or Wideband Satellite Operations Centers (WSOC)
- Four (4) years of relevant experience with the SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned SATCOM resources
