Responsibilities

As a Senior IR Signature Engineer with MTSI, you will contribute to critical scientific and technical analysis supporting the U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and National Intelligence efforts. You will play a pivotal role in supporting NASIC/WMES IR Signature modeling team by characterizing threat systems through signatures production.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with customers to address challenging mission requirements by researching and developing new capabilities as well as making improvements to existing systems.
  • Develop algorithms using Python, MATLAB, C++, and other languages for real world applications
  • Develop and sustain EO/IR Analytical tools, Techniques, and knowledge bases
  • Characterize threat systems through signatures production
  • Utilize, produce, and manipulate Computer Aided Design (CAD) Models for signature calculations using customer defined engineering code, verification/evaluation of predictions with measured data, production, and quality control processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, and/ or analysis of electronic warfare systems, radars, missile & aircraft systems, or RF/EO/IR Sensors
  • A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to acquire TS/SCI clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Relevant work experience supporting IR Signature Production
  • Strong math, physics or engineering background is preferred
  • Experience with IR Sensors and processing related data files
  • Experience with measured intensities from IR sensors; as well as simulation and analytical atmospheric attenuation models.
  • Experience with JANNAF codes

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or STEM with 5+ years of experience

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
