What you'll do

The Systems Engineer Sr. will be responsible for managing and maintaining servers and related infrastructure to ensure optimal availability, security, and performance of business applications. They will work extensively with virtualization platforms, administer Windows and Linux servers, and develop installation and configuration procedures. Additionally, they will monitor services, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide documentation to support operational efficiency and team collaboration. Ensuring compliance with corporate data and privacy policies is also a key aspect of the role.

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced IT professional with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in system administration, specializing in virtualization, Windows, or Linux environments. They should possess expert knowledge of server virtualization platforms such as AHV and VMware, along with strong proficiency in Windows Server operating systems, Linux, and storage solutions like object storage. Familiarity with HCI systems, data protection management, and load balancers such as HAProxy is highly desirable. Experience with public cloud providers, Kubernetes, and automation tools like Packer, Terraform, and Ansible would be a plus.

To succeed in this role, the candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software and infrastructure issues, and the capability to document processes effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as they will need to interact with various stakeholders and ensure clear documentation of procedures. The right candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with team members to meet business goals.
