Pay: Up to $58.00/hr Requirements:
- Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to receive a security clearance)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-7+ years of experience in a related role.
- Proficient in programming languages and tools: Git, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, Python, Qt, and MathWorks tools.
- Experience working with mixed operating system environments, including VxWorks, Linux, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), virtualization, Board Support Packages (BSPs), and Generalized Virtual Operating System (GVOS).
- Familiarity with serial and network protocols such as RS-232, RS-422, Controller Area Network (CAN), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and User Datagram Protocol (UDP).
- Experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS), Apache Kafka, or other Publish/Subscribe middleware.
- Knowledge of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) architectures.
- Experience with NATO Ground Vehicle Architecture (NGVA) and United Kingdom Ground Vehicle Architecture (UKGVA) data models.
- Expertise in ground combat vehicle network architecture designs.
- Familiarity with General Capabilities Integration and Development (GCIA), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), and Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
- Experience using Agile processes and tools.
- Previous experience working in the defense industry is desired.
- Familiarity with Type 1/2 Hypervisors and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts.
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Multicast network experience.
- Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
Job Duties:
- Design, configure, and test a new software development environment for creating software work products, including documentation, code, and test artifacts, while ensuring adherence to department standards and procedures.
- Develop software documentation and code across various vehicle domains, such as board support, displays, power management, lethality, software deployment, embedded training, and diagnostics.
- Implement software design through coding that conforms to department standards, develop test procedures to conduct unit and functional tests on the executable software, and perform hardware/software integration and debug software issues discovered during multiple testing phases.
- Provide overall status updates on development tasks to respective software project leads and create software releases that integrate changes from multiple developers into a single CSCI product.
- Interface with other departments and business units, including Systems Engineering, Project Management, and Software Quality, while leading agile scrum ceremonies such as daily scrums and demonstrations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
