PURPOSE: Installs products such as insulation, doors, windows, stairs, cabinets, sinks, or millwork into houses or buildings by performing the following duties. Oversees the work of the Installers at the customer site, including planning, coordinating and assigning work in order to meet or exceed installation scheduling goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs the work of an Installer. * Loads and unloads materials from truck onto work site. * Cuts product to specified size, as needed. * Installs parts in specified relationship to each other. * Verifies trueness of structure. * Applies latest building codes, industry standards and company policies in daily work. * Stays knowledgeable of OSHA regulations, and applies safety requirements in daily work (e.g. wearing hard hats, steel toe work boots, fall prevention requirements, etc.) 2. Oversees the work activities of Installers such as installation of windows, doors, insulation and other related products at the customer site. 3. Evaluates efficiency of work processes and identifies and implements process improvements to optimize productivity. 4. Troubleshoots problems on the installation site; writes change orders, recommends adjustments to installation schedule, discusses and resolves quality of work issues with subcontractors as needed. 5. Provides on-the-job skills and quality standards training to both new and seasoned employees in order to ensure that learning and self-development opportunities exist for production staff. 6. Meets with teams and lead workers to inform them of daily, weekly, monthly goals; encourage questions and suggestions and provides feedback on accomplishments and upcoming challenges to keep employees involved and motivated in accomplishing goals. 7. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. 8. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and five (5) years' experience performing and coordinating component manufacturing activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPETENCIES: * Skilled in use of all tools and equipment * Ability to execute plans/projects through others * Good verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of safety procedures while performing installation tasks * Ability to read and understand simple diagrams or blueprints * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
