URGENT! Network and Systems Technician needed to support public schools in Malone, NY 6 month contract to hire (after which you'll become a FT New York state employee with benefits, pension...etc.) Responsibilities: * Set Up and Maintain Computers and Networks: Install and keep computers and networks running smoothly. * Install Wiring: Set up wiring and fiber optic cables. * Configure Equipment: Set up servers, network switches, and printers. * Fix Problems: Diagnose and solve computer and network issues. * Work with Vendors: Collaborate with vendors to fix router and software problems. * Upgrade Equipment: Update computers and peripherals. * Test Systems: Ensure new systems and software work well with existing ones. * Support Users: Help users with system and network issues. * Stay Updated: Attend training to keep up with tech trends. Qualifications: Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field + 1 year of experience or Associate's Degree in a related field + 2 years of experience. or High school diploma + 3 years of experience. Skills: * Troubleshooting * PC Technician * Support Additional Skills & Qualifications: * Ability to install and maintain office computer systems and networks. * Strong problem-solving skills. * Good communication skills. * Physical condition suitable for the demands of the position.
