Evoke is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through effective monitoring and optimization.
• Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and monitoring using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell.
• Manage and troubleshoot networking, virtualization, and storage infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software engineering, and IT teams to support infrastructure needs.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Mentor and support junior infrastructure engineers in technical development and best practices.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency.

Professional Experience and Skills:

• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls), Linux/Windows administration, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Expertise in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.).
• Familiarity with security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education and Years of Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration, or related roles.

• Washington, DC (100% on-site)
