Summary

Change Management Consultant | Human Resources

Are you passionate abouthelping organizations navigate change? As aChange Management Consultant, you will play a key role in drivingadoption, engagement, and successfor transformative projects and initiatives. This role focuses on the people side of change; developing and implementingstrategic change management strategies and plansto ensure adoption of new ways of working.

What You'll Do:



  • Develop & Execute Change Strategies:Design and implementchange management plansto support business initiatives, ensuring seamless adoption by stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:Collaborate with leadership and key teams toalign on change methods, build awareness, and promote adoption through effectivecommunication strategies.
  • Training & Impact Assessment:Assess organizational impact and work with partners to develop training programs equipping employees with the knowledge and skills needed for success.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness ofchange initiatives, recommending process improvements as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Change Management Consultant | Human Resources



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Communications, Education/Training, Organizational Change Management or other job-related field from an accredited college or university
  • PLUS six (6) years relevant experience in Program Management, Organizational development, HR Consulting, Education, Training or directly related discipline
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management processes, principles, and methodologies


Preferred Special Skill, Knowledge or Qualifications



  • Experience in executing strategic change efforts in support of organization and cultural change.
  • Strong critical thinking and creativity skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgment by making decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • Proven ability to direct small project teams in change management program roll-out and communication.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
  • Adapts to changing environment, shifting priorities and uncertainty.
  • Prosci certification preferred.

Major Accountabilities

1) Partner with internal clients and project teams to develop tools, presentations and plans for effective change management initiatives.

2) Develop and communicate approved change management project plans and proposal to project sponsors, management, executives, and external stakeholders.

3)Coordinate project planning, project workforce planning, progress reporting, vendor relationships and troubleshooting activities related to change management program roll-out and training activities

4)Facilitate Sponsor and leadership alignment to drive awareness and adoption of changes associated with projects.

5)Secure and engage APS resources as needed to contribute data or provide access to resources needed for development of change management work products.

6)Provide input to and review work products within the change management work stream and manage sign-off where needed.

7)Ensure completion according to change management plan (i.e. scope, schedule, budget).

Assess performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.

Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to project teams, business management, project sponsors, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.

HybridRole:

Employees in hybrid roles will work both in their home offices and alongside their colleagues at an APS facility or other work location for meaningful in person engagement.

As of January 2025, hybrid-role employees will be asked to work about 40% of their time in person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.

*Employees in Hybrid roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
