The Senior Recruiter will be a critical point of contact for Westrock's operations team members. This position will partner with operations and Human Resources leadership to provide professional candidates in the area of talent acquisition. The SR. Recruiter will coordinate and facilitate various recruiting activities and programs across all locations. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources. This position has no direct reports.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Talent Acquisition:



  • Support talent acquisition strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of methods including but not limited to professional networking, community outreach and cold calling to attract and source candidates for open roles and build a network for future openings. Effectively use common tools as well as generate creative ideas for attracting and sourcing candidates.
  • Actively engage in recruiting activities aimed at reaching a diverse pool of candidates
  • Evaluate candidates through phone screens and behavioral-based interviews.
  • Build customer focused, collaborative relationships throughout the organization with a focus on strong relationships with leaders and hiring managers.
  • Partner with HR Business Leaders and hiring managers to understand current and future talent needs.
  • Serve as a talent advisor to advise, influence and make sound judgment calls on candidate viability and offer negotiation.
  • Effectively and efficiently prioritize requisition loads; work independently to fill positions in a responsive and timely manner.
  • Research and recommend innovative talent acquisition strategies, serve as subject matter expert in projects or implementation.
  • Establish and optimize relationships with direct hire agencies and other sources as needed.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned or apparent. Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree and 4-7+ years of progressive experience in recruiting and selection, with 2+ years of experience specializing in technical and engineering roles required (equivalent experience of demonstrable success in filling technology and engineering roles considered)


  • Knowledge of unique education, skills and experiences that candidates require
  • Proven track record of direct sourcing, using online recruitment tools, and best practice recruiting methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of local and regional market drivers and candidate supply and demand
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal leaders, hiring managers and HR partners
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems and online recruitment tools
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, and presentation skills


  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws with particular focus on talent acquisition in multiple states to include but not limited to CA., NC., TX. and AR.
  • Will require travel to Westrock sites throughout the U.S
