Lubbock Enterprise IT Business Analyst II - Portfolio Management 40290BR TTU Office of the CIO Position Description The Enterprise IT Business Analyst II is key in understanding and documenting business processes within Texas Tech University departments. This position is a liaison between IT and functional departments, ensuring that technology requests align with institutional needs. The analyst is responsible for conducting business analysis, documenting workflows, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. This position may interact with key IT leadership and functional leadership across Texas Tech University System institutions as part of the central IT Division. Enterprise IT Business Analyst II is expected to operate with a higher level of independence and analytical capability than an entry-level analyst. Ability to exercise judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities; plan and organize effectively, prioritize goals, use time efficiently, and stay on task; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective work relationships. Analytical skills, and process decomposition abilities. Documentation skills and the ability to refine scope. Superior communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. MS Office proficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, MIS or similar field and 1 - 2 years of related experience. Additional job-related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education with exposure to business processes, business analyst training, or work experience in functional departments.
