Summary:
The Aerospace Business Unit is responsible for Aerospace applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. The Business Unit operates in a large number of countries and markets, all over the world and with a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace industry. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine / airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit. In Hanover, PA we produce Rings and Seals for Aerospace and Industrial markets. We are looking for an Information Technology Systems Lead to join our team on-site in Hanover, PA.
We're looking for a versatile Information Technology Systems Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable juggling both network infrastructure and end-user support. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our overall information technology ("IT") environment-ranging from active network equipment to desktop systems. If you're a proactive problem-solver with a "let's figure it out" attitude, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network & Infrastructure Management:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware, servers, and in-house systems.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, latency) and implement security measures.
- Set up and manage network policies, including DHCP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi configurations.
Server & Application Support:
Install, upgrade, and integrate server hardware and applications. Support Windows Server environments (2012 - 2022), Active Directory, and Group Policy. Manage Microsoft 365, on-premises to cloud migrations, and related collaborative tools like SharePoint. End-User & Helpdesk Support:
Provide hands-on support via helpdesk tickets, assisting with desktop issues (Windows 7-11) and peripheral devices such as printers and copiers. Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords while resolving reported technical issues. Vendor & Remote Branch Coordination:
Collaborate with vendors and manage support tickets to ensure prompt resolution of issues. Offer remote support across multiple territories, ensuring consistent service and efficient problem-solving. Additional Duties:
Assist in designing solutions, performing system updates, and developing recommendations for IT improvements. Support the implementation of VOIP/cloud phone systems and engage in scripting/automation tasks to streamline operations. Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience is welcome.
- Proven experience in IT support roles encompassing both network administration and desktop support.
- Hands-on expertise with network fundamentals, routing, switching, and server maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems (both desktop and server), Active Directory, and group policies.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi configuration.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, cloud migrations, and collaborative platforms (e.g., SharePoint) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work remotely with teams across multiple regions.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing issues, and working effectively under pressure.
- Bonus: Experience with virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V), Linux administration, enterprise backup systems, and automation/scripting.
