Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Care Assistant (CCA) is a professional nursing student who has completed a minimum of one semester of clinical experience. The CCA provides direct patient care and unit activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse (R.N.); practices within the Department of Nursing standards; and adheres to UAMS clinical programs, policies, procedures and standards and guest care guidelines.

Tentative start date is May 12th. Work hours require 32 hours a month as negotiated with the Clinical Services Manager (CSM); with a maximum of 1400 hours in a 12-month floating period.

Salary: $20.00 per hour
Shift Differential: 20% E/N/P and 10% Weekends
Must Work One (1) Major Holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas-Eve or New Year's Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be enrolled in a state-approved RN Nursing school,

  • Must have completed minimum of one (1) semester of Basic Theory/Skills check-off and one (1) clinical rotation experience in an NLN accredited school of professional nursing.

Preferred:

  • Patient care experience in acute care setting

Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
