Overview

Temporary Assignment

Duration: 6 months

The QC/QA Data Reviewer (Temporary Worker) exercises independent judgment and discretion in conducting reviews on loan files across all origination channels. This role involves evaluating loan files for acceptable documentation based on established guidelines and policies, identifying and addressing red flags. The position is crucial for maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements and ensuring the overall quality and integrity of loan origination processes within the organization.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Perform post-close credit quality control audits on residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, agency, and investor requirements.
  • Identify red flags during audits and promptly escalate files for fraud review.
  • Document audit findings accurately.
  • Engage directly with operations and responsible parties to explain findings, discuss issues, and determine root causes.
  • Contribute to reporting findings and exceptions to management and participate in implementing corrective actions to remediate loan issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years in the mortgage industry, compliance, underwriting, origination, processing, or quality control experience.
  • Ability to meet established productivity standards while maintaining quality standards.
  • Proficient in all current agency and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending, loan products, and operations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking ability.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to work across the organization with other teams.


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
