Description Maine Medical Center Professional - Clinical Req #: 24467 Summary The Central Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within the acute care setting through review of electronic medication orders, drug therapy monitoring, drug information, and the direct oversight of non-sterile and sterile compounding activities. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: The Clinical Pharmacist role reviews medication orders for safe and effective medication use; collaborates with physicians and other health care personnel to achieve optimal patient outcomes; and formulates recommendations based on current literature and evidence-based practice. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license with Board of Pharmacy required. Experience: Previous pharmacist experience preferred.
