Overview

This position will report directly to the Manager, Counsel Management Unit (CMU) Operations, of the Litigation Department by providing organized and diligent administration of the legal referral platform. The right candidate will bring a balance of technical expertise, basic litigation understanding, strong organization, analytical abilities, interpersonal skills, and execution to the table. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.



Responsibilities

    Timely review and resolution of exception requests in litigation referral platform.
  • Follow-up with claims for needed law firm documentation.
  • Modification of routing statuses as directed by VP, AVP or Manager.
  • Develop deep knowledge and understanding of legal referral platform.
  • Address questions from outside law firms regarding legal referral platform.
  • Attend periodic meetings related to legal referral platform enhancements and communicate any key takeaways.
  • Provide professional and excellent customer service to internal and external parties.
  • Respond to routine email inquiries from Claim Department regarding law firms and various litigation management protocols; investigate complaints from Claim Department regarding law firm performance and provide analysis and recommendation to relevant VP, AVP or Manager.
  • Assist in logistical coordination, execution and tracking of various "bulk file transfer" projects within Sharepoint and legal referral platform Further the goals of the Litigation Department by proactively identifying and implementing potential new cost saving opportunities.
  • Perform various ad hoc litigation management tasks/projects as directed
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years experience in a litigation environment (law firm, insurance company litigation, or litigation services vendor)
  • Experience with MS Office with high degree of proficiency in Excel
  • Above average written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively

Preferred:

  • Property Casualty Insurance industry experience
  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Sharepoint experience
