Job Posting: Early Career Environmental Scientist

Location: Hunt Valley, Maryland

Salary: $55,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

We are seeking an early career Environmental Scientist to provide technical support for field and project work. This role offers a blend of field and office work, involving environmental sample collection, project planning, data evaluation, and technical reporting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about environmental science, have strong technical skills, and be able to handle a mix of field and office tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with field activities, including environmental sample collection (soil, water, air, tissue) and subcontractor oversight.
• Provide technical support for planning document preparation, permit assistance, and data evaluation for environmental projects.
• Assist with report development, including site characterization and remediation at CERCLA sites.
• Contribute to work on emerging contaminants and multiple types of impacted environmental media.
• Perform cost estimating and support project planning and coordination.
• Conduct physical labor in the field as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, or another applicable science-based discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Ability to perform field activities, including environmental sample collection and physical labor.
