The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within defined scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed physician and in accordance with MCW/FMLH/CHW policies and procedures. Located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital and Outpatient Dialysis Centers. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for the patients of the inpatient services as a member of the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology. The APP will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and ensure an environment of safe quality care. In this role you will be responsible for the following:

A recent study ranked Milwaukee as the 15th most walkable of the 50 largest US cities. Preferred Schedule: Workweek: Nocturnal rotating schedule, 12-13 shifts per month. Saturday to Sunday 6pm-7am or 7pm-8am. Scheduling flexibility required to provide an appropriate level of patient care coverage.
Preferred Experience: Preference will be given to practitioners with prior experience in hospital based care or medical/surgical patients, specifically those with nephrology or dialysis experience Minimum Education: Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing Minimum Requirements: *or eligible Advanced Practice Nurse Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
