AsSr. Systems Engineer II, you'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud environments with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. - Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architectures with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
- Optimize SaaS platforms for seamless integration with enterprise cloud environments.
- Architect and manage secure data connections across cloud environments, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices to meet federal cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture).
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges, implementing optimization strategies.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, including IAM, access controls, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automation and efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to enhance cloud and SaaS performance.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders on cloud architectures and security practices.
What you'll need to succeed:
- An active Secret DoD clearance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP) with a focus on performance and scale.
- Strong understanding of federal government cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, and/or Zero Trust.
- Expertise in designing and managing high-performance, scalable cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS architecture, API integrations, and cloud-native services.
- Strong background in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud automation.
- Understanding of networking principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-native networking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
