* Base Pay Range: $75,275 - $109,554, based on experience ABOUT THE JOB The Nurse, Clinical Educator will assess, plan, develop, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate training effectiveness for new and continuing organization-wide clinical education needs for MU Health Care. This position is responsible for enhancing staff development and training opportunities resulting in highly engaged and productive workforce. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Identify training needs based on current strategic organizational and departmental goals in collaboration with organizational leaders, Unit-based/Facility Educators, and other content experts. Develop and design curriculum and program content based on identified and prioritized needs. Utilize innovative and best practices to create and update education programs/training materials to ensure programs/materials are current, relevant, meet stated objectives, and are compliant with regulatory and industry standards. Manage the logistical and other technical aspects of program coordination. Deliver and participate in house-wide education and training activities for nurses/clinical staff (i.e. Clinical/Nursing orientation, AHA classes, regulatory training). Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to enhance nursing/clinical programs including but not limited to instructor-led, simulation, scenarios, role-playing, online training, and blended learning, in order to integrate concepts of adult learning into education. Document the effectiveness of education programs through subjective evaluation of participants, as well as testing, clinical observation, competency, and participant feedback. Continually self-evaluate knowledge and skills. Develop/pursue a professional development plan that includes ongoing education, research, networking, and review of evidence-based practice. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Three (3) years of clinical experience. Bachelor's degree. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Instructor for BLS, PAL, or ACLS. Experience as a clinical educator or familiarity with adult learning concepts. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
