Senior Analyst Applications - SAP Controlling

Summary:

Reports to Manager, Finance & HR Applications with 5 other iTeam professionals at various levels.
Regional job with worldwide interactions
This position is responsible for supporting and enhancing finance applications, both SAP and non-SAP applications. Enhancements include business-driven and technical modifications, including integration with other SAP modules and cloud-based applications.
Finance applications deliver Arkema finance processes utilizing SAP Controlling integrated with other third-party tools to deliver end to end processes.
Position collaborates with Business Process Owners and iTeam groups, both global and regional .
Position will apply functional/ technical expertise in SAP Controlling and integrated systems that can impact over 10,000 users in 2 global and 1 regional SAP ERP systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Application Enhancements & Projects

• Position performs small to medium business driven modifications, system developments and enhancements for SAP FICO & other 3rd party applications, some examples include ReadSoft, CashPooler and IsoTarget.
• Participates in implementation rollouts and enhancement projects.
• System developments includes defining requirements for system modification via user interviews, research, writing specifications to meet requirements by matching functionality with business needs, technical design, configuration, testing and documentation. Collaborates with process owners on process design. May assist process owners with developing training and training end users.
• Position works with other technical teams for activities such as identification and selection of technical alternatives, infrastructure & security design and external data processes.
• Position applies project management methodology with support of manager or project lead.
• Position works independently on some assignments and under direction or mentorship on larger, more complex assignments.
• Position works directly with business process owners & key users to define needs for system enhancements, and with a project lead or manager for enhancements with significant business requirements and/or integrated business process definition and designs.
• Position ensures modifications properly fix issues and meet user expectations through requirements gathering, system testing, user acceptance testing and appropriate regression and non-regression testing.
• Position will participate or lead detail requirements gathering, analysis of systems issues and definition of alternatives.
• Position may require expert assistance of others in process design, analysis of alternatives and risk assessment.
• Position evaluates technologies and functionalities.
• Position uses vendor documentation, Arkema documentation, vendor help services, and internal and external resources to learn and understand system capabilities.
• Ensures the application integrity of the system with each system modification.

Application Support & Maintenance

• Performs support activities, including ongoing business modifications, routine maintenance, root cause analysis, and fixing bugs. Resolves complex issues independently, and proactively initiates problem prevention. Consults with others engaged in complex issue resolution.
• Provides proactive and timely problem resolution and communication.
• Performs problem analysis, independent research, programming specs, configuration, testing and documentation.
• Manages maintenance assignments including updating, enhancing, and/or streamlining of technical functions of the system, including data or system cleanup, or standardizing processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of IT experience - includes technical support business systems/applications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
