Engineering Technician IV Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support. Engineering Technician IV Job Description: Perform electrical and system engineering tasks to include researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Develops designs for electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic use. Performs trade studies, design and technology assessments for emerging technologies. Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules. Engineering Technician IV Required Tasks: * Design, develop, integrate and test analog designs. * Model and simulate to optimize designs and to incorporate design margins. * Perform design analysis, technology assessments, and trade studies. * Specify and select COTS, ROTS, NDI and / or custom components. * Develop rack and/or stack cabling designs. * Experience assisting Project Engineers/Engineers in logistics support tasks and clerical/administrative duties. Engineering Technician IV Required Skills: * Experience with requirements derivation and capture. * Experience with complex systems development and evaluation. * Experience with interface requirements and component level requirements. * Experience implementing and customizing common commercial and open source products. * Strong communication skills to explain design issues and solutions. Engineering Technician IV Additional Requirements: * High school, trade, industrial school, or GED equivalent with 7 years of professional experience. * Must have the ability to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen. * Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently. * Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success. Job: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week. 4 x10 hour days, 3 days off per week.
