PAY RANGE: $16-$18 / hour

Compensation is determined based on your experience and qualifications.

In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for overtime, commission, performance-based increases, and bonuses.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Warehouse Administrative Student Internship provides students pursuing careers in agriculture, business, or related fields with a hands-on learning experience. This role supports the agronomy team by assisting with administrative tasks, organizational responsibilities, and customer service activities. Interns will gain valuable insight into the operational aspects of agricultural businesses while providing marketing, customer service, and administrative support to the location manager and other personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Compile data, prepare invoices, ensure accurate pricing, process billing transactions, and handle customer payments and deposits.
  • Order, maintain, reconcile, and track product movement while coordinating physical inventory counts.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and maintaining organized records.
  • Answer phone calls, resolve customer inquiries, and ensure professional and courteous communication via phone, email, and mail.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and organize meetings are requested.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and professionalism in handling company and customer information.
  • Manage daily tasks efficiently, adapt to changing priorities, and support the team in various administrative functions.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assists department managers and sales staff with marketing activities.
  • Occasionally may be asked to drive and run local errands as requested.
  • Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
  • Comply with the uniform policy and uphold a professional appearance.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Educations and Experience

Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university and in good academic standing at the time the internship begins.

  • Proven team-building skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated planning, organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use the computer and "attention to detail" skills and the ability to use computer to enhance business processes.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements.
