Business and Financials Principal Trainer

Description Under the direction of the Training Manager, the Business and Financial Systems Principal Trainer (PT) is responsible for the overall curriculum for the Workday business systems. This PT will serve as the primary training representative (anchor) between Workday and UCLA Health and will work with the application manager, analysts, business owner, vendor, stakeholders, and other ISS team members. PT is expected to develop, execute, and maintain the training program for Workday application. The principal trainer is an integral project team member, participating in workflow design, engagement, and educational activities. With this, the PT is expected to analyze, develop, test, and maintain the training curriculum. In addition, they manage updates to policy and procedure documentation related to training, conduct staff training, update asynchronous training materials, and manage training change management for any software upgrades and updates.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelors or master's
degree with equivalent work experience

* Required
to become certified in Workday Application

* Experience in
designing, delivering, and maintaining synchronous and asynchronous training programs
for Workday application

* Preferred prior
experience with IT systems and systems development projects.

* Ability to
collaborate with SMEs and learners throughout the instructional design
process. Works with all levels of the
organization, from front-line staff to senior management.

* Demonstrated
ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, writing,
interpersonal, and presentation skills.

* Strong written and
verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information
to all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.

* Effective
leadership skills and strong customer service orientation.

* Experience
managing, coaching, or mentoring trainers.

* Experience working
with the communications team to publish training schedules and communicate with
stakeholders

* Must be detail-oriented
and have a knack for probing for information in order to fully understand the
underlying needs that influence how a training material should be configured/
organized.

* Ability to manage
and prioritize multiple and competing tasks, appropriately delegate and track
work, and hold individuals accountable for work tasks.

* Ability to work
effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds at all
levels.

* Ability to work
independently and meet deadlines without reminders.

* Ability to remain
calm in difficult and stressful situations. Must be able to recognize problems,
evaluate, and refer to the appropriate channels for action.

Required Knowledge and Experience

* Minimum of 3
years' experience in multimedia development (Workday Training development preferred).

* 2 to 3 years of Advanced
Adobe Captivate 9 and Camtasia user. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite.

* Experience in
adult education, instructional design, and eLearning development. Proficiency
with a variety of learning development tools.

* Experience
creating & editing voiceovers using Captivate or Audacity

* Experience using
webinar hosting tools (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams) and Learning Management Systems
(Cornerstone On Demand preferred)

* Experience working
in healthcare is highly desired.

* Demonstrated
project management experience managing complex, high-priority projects on tight
deadlines.

* Demonstrate
proficiency with information systems technology, which also includes Microsoft
Office Suite, email, and MS-visio.

  • Demonstrated skill in system workflow and business process flow analysis and design.
