Snowflake Technical Leader/Architect

Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a Snowflake Technical Leader/Architect who will be responsible for managing architecture and delivery for a multi-year strategic Teradata to Snowflake program with strong experience on - Data Architecture, Cloud native architecture patterns and implementation experience delivering business value through next gen data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the design and integration of complex enterprise systems ensuring scalability and performance and Provide Thought leadership with CxO stakeholders on Data architect and Cloud native platforms like AWS and Snowflake, Emerging data pipeline tools.

* Architect and lead large NextGen Snowflake Migration program, provide technical guidance and mentorship to the architecture team fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

* Scope, Sizing, Estimation, Architecture options and Solutioning for Snowflake programs

* Collaborate with stakeholders (Including all system owners and customer architects) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

* Drive the adoption of best practices in enterprise data management and ensure data integrity across systems.

* Build PoC and template code to guide teams and establish best practiced and standards

* Managing technical delivery across portfolio of accounts and build capabilities & teams

* Work with partners to ensure project delivery is aligned with platform roadmap

* Lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies to align with business goals and objectives.

* Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and documentation to support ongoing and future projects.

* Ensure the effective use of Business Intelligence tools to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.

* Implement dimensional data modeling techniques to optimize data warehousing and reporting capabilities.

* Utilize Snowflake to design and manage cloud-based data solutions ensuring high availability and security.

* Conduct regular reviews of architectural frameworks and make recommendations for improvements.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems.

* Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.

* Provide strategic direction for technology investments to maximize return on investment and support business growth.

Required Qualifications:

* 18+ years of experience in Data Engineering and 8+ years Data Engineering exp on cloud native

* Technology architecture & implementation experience with deep implementation experience with Data solutions

* Ability to consult and interface at VP/CXO decision makers across marketing, sales and technology organizations within client organizations

* Proven experience of qualifying requirements and clarifying ambiguity to solve client business problems through technical solution design.

* Authoritative Data architecture exp- Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Mesh, Lake house, Data as a product

* Expert level proficiency in engineering & optimizing with various data engineering ingestion patterns, Batch, Micro Batch, Streaming and API

* Understand imperatives of change data capture with tools & best practices POV

* Architect and Solution Data Governance capability pillars supporting modern data eco system

* Data services and various consumption archetypes including semantic layers, BI tools and AI&ML

* Thought leadership designing self-service data engineering platforms & solutions

* Strong Architecture experience building frameworks and platforms on AWS + Snowflake services

* Large legacy migration experience and own large migration program Teradata like legacy platforms to AWS/Snowflake

* Ability to engage and offer differing points of view to customers architecture using AWS and Snowflake platform

* Strong understanding of the Snowflake platform including evolving services like Snowpark, Cortext

* Deep Implementation expertise using AWS services - EMR, Redshift, Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, AWS Lake formation and Snowflake

* Security design and implementation on AWS & Snowflake

* Proficiency on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps on AWS + Snowflake

Preferred Qualifications

* Palantir platform

* GEN-AI data engineering

* Digital solution experience

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $200,000 to $225,000+ depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
