Sr. Business Architect / Solution Architect (Hybrid)

Location: Carmel, IN

Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for Sr. Business Architect / Solution Architect to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. This role is with the Cognizant Enterprise Integration (EI) and Digital Process Orchestration (DPO) within Enterprise Platform Services Team. Cognizant's EI &DPO practice is a world leading provider of Hybrid Cloud Integration and Process Automation Services. EI &DPO practice has strategic alliances with "best of bread" platform providers to provide service for Cloud Integration, Hybrid Integration Platforms, B2B Platforms, DPA and Low Code Platforms, and Cloud Integration.

Job Description: While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Roles/Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain the organization's business architecture blueprint, encompassing current and future state views.

* Conduct current state capability assessments and create detailed capability maps.

* Perform value stream mapping to identify optimization opportunities and drive process improvements.

* Conduct fit-gap analysis to identify areas where current capabilities fall short of future needs.

* Create future state L1 and L2 business capability views, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

* Develop a capability roadmap with clear sequencing of delivery

* Evaluate off-the-shelf software solutions based on business needs and architectural fit.

* Develop and maintain business context views, including current and future state business context diagrams.

* Conduct gap analysis of business context to identify areas for improvement.

* Create a future state capability roadmap for business context, ensuring alignment with the overall business architecture.

* Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and buy-in for the business architecture.

* Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in business architecture and insurance.

* Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in business architecture, with a demonstrable focus on the insurance industry.

* Specific experience working in at least one insurance Line of Business (LOB) such as Life, Annuity, Long-Term Care (LTC), or Medicare Supplement (MedSup) is required. (Please specify LOB experience in your application.)

* Proven ability to develop and maintain business architecture blueprints.

* Strong understanding of business capability modeling, value stream mapping, and fit-gap analysis.

* Experience with capability roadmap development and sequencing.

* Ability to evaluate off-the-shelf software solutions.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

* Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Experience with business context diagramming and analysis.

* Familiarity with business architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 to $185,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
