Summary

The Inventory Specialist assists in the daily operations of each department at Tioga/Salmon. The Inventory Specialist will own all things related to cycle count and inventory communications. The role will function in close proximity to our Buyer and Tioga Leadership.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Other duties may be assigned

  • Accurately cycle count all product within our Tioga St. facility (Green coffee, Raw Materials, and Finished Goods)
  • Assist in managing/investigating/reconciling inventory in SAP ERP system.
  • Track Inventory for any materials and supplies needed in the warehouse. Collaborate with the Receiver and Buyer to order any supplies needed in a timely manner.
  • Capture and report inventory adjustments needed to reflect accurate inventory levels.
  • Complete monthly waste reports for the Tioga St. facility.
  • Count raw materials needed in production on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with and occasionally cover for Receiving Clerk when needed.
  • Own inventory counts and purchasing for items not purchased by the buyer (Indirect Materials)
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts taking place on Saturdays (monthly).
  • Send inventory related communications to all appropriate parties and cross functional teams.
  • Assist with Mass Balancing incoming green and roasted coffee.
Requirements

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • 2-3 years of warehouse/ Inventory experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, food plant operations and safety.
  • Ability to operate a manual and automatic pallet jack.
  • Experience operating a sitdown forklift
  • Self-driven

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc.
  • Be physically active for 8 hours without becoming fatigued or out of breath.
  • Stand for 8 hours a day.
  • Occasionally lift and or move 40+ pounds

Compensation Range:$21.25-$27.75, plus bonus.
