Overview
Performs all functions of pharmaceutical care required of a staff pharmacist. Organizes pharmacy activities to ensure quality service. Performs scheduling of pharmacy staff based on budgeted FTE's. Is responsible for all payroll functions and must have payroll approved on payroll Monday on time. Assists the director with development and implementation of policies and procedures, process improvement projects and performance standards. Provides direction to the staff in the daily pharmacy operations. Provides input and is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the pharmacy budget. Responsible for human resource management, 90 day and annual performance evaluations, interviewing, hiring, discipline and counseling, education and orientation of pharmacy staff. Responsible for one long-term project involving all the retail pharmacies sharing information, updates, processes with all retail pharmacy partners. Responsible for the security of the retail pharmacy. Performs other duties as assigned. Hours exceeding 40/week may be required. May be required to take after hours call on a rotation basis.
