Position Overview As a Client Development Specialist, you will help McAdams in Central Florida retain and expand our client base. This client-facing role is critical to deploying business development strategies, partnering with our technical teams to forge strong client relationships, and promoting strong client experiences for key clients. Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Development
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations with technical team members to showcase the firm's capabilities and expertise.
- Represent the firm at regional and national conferences to increase brand recognition.
- Participate in industry-specific professional organizations (i.e., ULI, NAIOP, CREW, AMFP, etc.).
- Metro Growth
- Implement the business development strategy for Central Florida.
- Identify and prioritize target markets and clients based on industry trends.
- Assist with market research and analysis to determine emerging trends and opportunities in Central Florida.
- Work with firm leadership to execute metro efforts to achieve the firm's strategic growth goals.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing and technical teams to identify and win new project opportunities.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to assist with annual business plans and budgets.
- Participate in internal business development meetings and assist with meeting agendas.
- Motivate team members to participate in industry events.
- Assist in training sessions to help team members learn best practices in business development.
- Client Experience
- Participate in regular meetings with technical team members and existing clients.
- Conduct interviews with existing clients to gain feedback about their client experience working with firm.
- Develop an understanding of how a project is delivered successfully through all services lines.
Skills + Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 1-5 years of experience in business development or a similar role in the A/E/C industry
- Success in winning project opportunities pursuits in a region
- Active member of industry professional organizations (ULI, NAIOP, CREW, etc.)
- Understanding of the A/E/C industry and market trends
- Self-starter with ability to work effectively in various work settings
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Ability to travel as needed
Work Environment + Physical Demands
- Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion.
- Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
