Position Overview

As Client Development Manager, you will lead all business development efforts for McAdams in Central Florida. This client-facing role is critical to fostering strong client relationships, driving revenue growth, and positioning McAdams as an industry leader in Central Florida.

Key Responsibilities



  • Relationship Development

    • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Conduct client meetings and presentations to showcase the firm's capabilities and expertise.
    • Represent the firm at regional and national conferences to increase brand recognition.
    • Participate in leadership roles industry specific professional organizations (i.e. ULI, NAIOP, CREW, AMFP, etc.).




  • Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and implement a targeted and comprehensive business development strategy for Central Florida.
    • Identify and prioritize target markets and clients based on industry trends.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to determine emerging trends and opportunities in Centra Florida.
    • Partner with firm leadership to align metro efforts with the firm's overall strategic goals.




  • Team Leadership and Collaboration

    • Work closely with marketing and technical teams to identify and win new project opportunities.
    • Collaborate with firm leadership to lead the creation of annual business plans and budgets.
    • Lead internal business development meetings and foster collaboration across the seller-doer team.
    • Motivate team members to participate in industry events
    • Lead training sessions to help team members learn best practices in business development.




  • Client Experience

    • Conduct regular meetings with existing clients to discuss project performance, futures needs, and strategic initiatives.
    • Monitor project quality and client satisfaction, identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with technical teams throughout the project ensuring exceptional client service is provided.




Skills + Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development or a similar role in the A/E/C industry
  • Proven track record of success driving revenue growth
  • Leadership role(s) in industry professional organizations (ULI, NAIOP, CREW, etc.), active or future roles preferred
  • Strong understanding of the A/E/C industry and market trends
  • Self-starter with ability to work effectively in various work settings
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Ability to travel as needed


Work Environment + Physical Demands



  • Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion.
  • Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
