The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Document Imaging Reviewer is responsible for electronically filing hard copy documents into the chart for the individual patient. EHR Document Imaging Reviewer will select the appropriate patient in the imaging system, ensuring the appropriate chart structure, selecting the system folder, indexing the correct document date, assigning an owner to the document, and initiating an auto task to the provider for appropriate work types, when applicable.

Principal Responsibilities



  • Electronically identify the correct patient in the imaging system.
  • Insert and/or scan documents into the appropriate chart order, ensuring proper pagination and skew.
  • Regularly assess the STAT documents and index appropriately. This work type will receive priority over all others, and will be completed according to established turnaround guidelines. Ronnnie
  • Print the daily indexing assignments, where applicable.
  • Assign document "owner" and date of service, where applicable.
  • Send task if document requires a signature/date and is not already signed when processing TouchWorks documents.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in working to achieve department goals.
  • Follow all Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Compile productivity statistics from printout listing, initial, and forward to the Supervisor for statistics.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior in associations with patients and employees both within and outside the complex.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
  • Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.


Education/Experience



  • High School graduate or GED required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Strict attention to detail is required.
  • Good organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time is required.
  • Ability to process forms within production standards is required.
  • Requires flexibility regarding assignments.


Working Environment



  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Sedentary office environment.
  • Extended computer work.
