What we do:

The Corporate FP&A team plays a critical role in analyzing and implementing The Trade Desk's financial and strategic initiatives. The Associate Manager, Corporate FP&A / Special Projects will:
Quarterback recurring corporate FP&A tasks: consolidation, analysis, and presentation of critical company operating data and insights, and lead various cross-functional special projects related to corporate finance, business partner support / business cases, strategic initiatives, M&A, new ventures, and external partnerships.
We are looking for a mature self-starter who excels at solving unstructured problems, possesses brilliant analytical skills, can build cross-functional credibility as a trusted business partner, and who can communicate findings confidently and articulately to a wide variety of stakeholders.

What you'll do:



  • Support short and long-termforecastprocesses including real-time tracking, reporting and variance analysis
  • Review and interpret recent financial results, preparing materials that highlight variances to forecasts and utilize insights to drive operating decisions
  • Summarize key findings into clear and concise takeaways andpresentationsfor Board of Directors, executives, investors and other key business leaders
  • Undertakespecial projectsto support strategic initiatives, in collaboration with various internal teams including strategy, finance, accounting, operations, and commercial teams; for both corporate functions and externally-oriented teams
  • Build and maintain complex companyoperating modelswith multiple scenarios to evaluate hiring, investment and other operational initiatives
  • Utilize financial planning tools and systems(Oracle EPM and other BI tools) to maintain accurate and complete financial information, facilitate workflows, and ensure timely deliverables
  • Design reports and dashboardsto track and report key performance metrics
  • Assist the Investor Relations teamwith a range of activities, as needed
  • Performfinancial due diligence and support negotiationsfor various corporate transactions
  • Continuously improve team processes, reporting and procedures, and take on other duties as needed to assist the team


Who you are:



  • BA/BS, MBA, CFA, or similarin an applicable field: finance, accounting, economics, etc.
  • 6+ years of experiencein a sophisticated financial role: investment banking, equity research, private equity, hedge fund, management consulting, portfolio operations, corporate finance, etc.
  • High personal and professional integrity
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts, including three statement models, valuation techniques, working capital and cashflow modelling
  • Advanced financial modeling skillsto distill complex problems into digestible insights; exceptional analytical acumen & attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator(both written and verbal), with the ability to present to senior management in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross-functionally(often with senior stakeholders or those without direct reporting relationships)
  • Low ego team playerwith grit and positive, proactive attitude; willingness to roll up sleeves and help colleagues as needed; a willingness to dig into anything and everything to support the business
  • Ability todeal with ambiguityandprioritize tasks effectivelyin a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business sense, with the ability to understand changing industry forces and their broader implications, and focus on relevant KPIs
  • Experience with, or interest in learning, database (SQL, Python, Vertica, etc.), data visualization software (Tableau, etc.) and financial planning software (Oracle EPM)

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$93,100 $170,600 USD
